| St. Vincent and the Grenadines
in the Caribbean's Winward Islands is a land of contrast. The main island
of St. Vincent has an active volcano, Mt. Soufriere, which last erupted in
1979, and the island is covered with lush tropical rainforest vegetation. Exotic
St. Vincent is also home to beautiful black sand beaches and cascading
waterfalls, the most well known of which is the Falls of Baleine. The
Grenadines, many of which are flat coral islands, have beaches with soft
white sand, and sailboats abound in their turquoise waters. Bequia is home to fishermen and boat builders famous for
their colorful wooden skiffs. Our St. Vincent and the Grenadines picture
collection covers Saint Vincent, Bequia, Mayreau, Canouan, Union Island, Palm
Island and the Tobago Cays, and includes aerial views of some of the
Grenadines islands.
