| Martinique was a quick overnight
stop on our way to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, but we did manage to
get a few photos that capture the European French influence. It is the
only Caribbean Island we have been to with the exception of Puerto Rico
that has freeways. As you can imagine, it is is a bustling place with lots
of little French sidewalk cafes and beaches crowded with sun loving
Europeans. Mixed in here and there we found the quaint Caribbean charm of
weathered shutters and island cottages. Oh, and the French cuisine was to
die for!
