| This small island is one of the
most colorful places in Mexico, with its brightly painted water taxis,
thatched roofed gift shops and beaches with turquoise water. Unfortunately
the much advertised El Garrafon marine park has been all but destroyed by
snorkelers who think it is cool to stand on the coral. That aside, Isla de
las Mujeres remains one of the quietest and most delightful of the Mexican
islands. Our small picture collection captures some of the quaint charm of
the island of women.
