| Florida is a land of a thousand
islands, the Florida Keys being the most well known, as they are far
enough south to enjoy a tropical climate. While the Keys are typically
tropical, with white sand beaches and turquoise water, Sanibel and Captiva
Islands on Florida's west coast have some beautiful beaches as well,
frequented by sunbathers and fishermen with their colorful beach umbrellas. These
islands are home to abundant wildlife and are also well known for their seashell strewn beaches.
In addition to our pictures of Sanibel and Captiva Islands and the Florida
Keys, we have images from Orlando, Cocoa Beach and Miami. Subjects include
architecture, beach scenes and photos of egrets, herons, brown pelicans
and other shore birds.
