British Virgin Islands Pictures, including Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Peter, Norman and Cooper Islands |
| One of our largest collections
of images is from the British Virgin Islands, often called the bareboat
sailing capitol of the world. The BVI has long expanses of palm
tree lined white sand beaches, unusual rock formations such as those at
the Baths on Virgin Gorda, and mountain roads offering fantastic scenic
vistas. The natural beauty of the BVI makes it easy to see why so
many of our pictures from these islands are among our very best. While these islands are known more for sailing than
for their
coral reefs, the marine life here is very diverse, including lush coral
gardens, big fish such as sharks and rays and small colorful fish and sea
life including snappers, angelfish and seahorses.
